Have you ever received a handwritten letter? These letters are meaningful because it means people sat down and took the time to write out their thoughts to you. We hang onto these kind of keepsakes. This is one of those letters for the Philippians. The church at Philippi was arguably Paul’s favorite church, but he hasn’t seen them in about ten years when he pens this letter. Paul’s deep care
for these people jumps off the page. His desire is for them to find joy in a tough world. He doesn’t just want them to find joy, he wants them to find joy in Jesus. We’ll see this comes in unexpected ways.
